Privacy Policy

QUANT OS (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a quantitative trading research platform that helps retail traders build, backtest, and analyse trading strategies. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our web application or Android app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2.1 Account information

Authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign up we receive your email address and, if you choose social sign-in, your name and profile picture from that provider. We store only the Clerk user ID on our servers — we never see or store your password.

2.2 Strategy and backtest data

We store the trading strategy rules, parameters, and backtest results you create inside the app. This data is tied to your account and is used solely to provide the service.

2.3 Usage data

We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, timestamps) for debugging and security purposes. These are retained for up to 90 days.

2.4 Payment data

Payments are processed by Razorpay (INR) and Stripe (USD). We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or full bank details. We store only the subscription status and anonymised provider identifiers returned by those services.

2.5 Market data

Price data is fetched in real time from Yahoo Finance for the tickers you request. We do not share your ticker queries with third parties beyond what is necessary to fulfil the data request.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the QUANT OS service
• To authenticate your account and enforce subscription limits
• To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset, subscription confirmation)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your strategy or backtest data for any advertising purpose.

We share data only with:

• Clerk — identity and authentication
• Render.com — cloud hosting of our API server
• Vercel — hosting of the web frontend
• Razorpay / Stripe — payment processing
• Groq — AI language model inference (strategy ideas and refinement prompts; no personally identifiable information is included)
• Yahoo Finance — market data retrieval

All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements that restrict use of your data to service provision only.

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8). Server logs are deleted after 90 days. Backtest results are deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. API access requires a signed authentication token issued by Clerk. Passwords are never stored by us. Payment credentials are handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Razorpay, Stripe).

QUANT OS is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (receive your strategy data in JSON format)

We use only strictly necessary cookies (authentication session tokens set by Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
